# Additional dependencies

The various faust2* converters have diverse dependencies.
Installing all of them would pull in additional dependencies of about
2.8GB data.
However, chances are that you will not need all of them.
The 'faust' package therefore only Recommends a bare minimum of packages
that you are likely to need when working with faust.

The full set of packages is in the 'Suggests' list of dependencies.
To selectively install only the required packages for a given faust2*
converter, consult the table below:

# Syntax highlighting

the 'faust-common' package includes syntix highlighting configurations for
a variety of editors available in Debian (highlight; emacs, gedit, kate, nano,
vim).
Additional highlighting packages additional editors (Atom,...) can be found
in the syntax-highlighting/ directory.
