Security notice:

As there is no secure way to create temporary files in Festival, some
festival-freebsoft-utils functions may be locally insecure.  The only way to
prevent this is to set TMPDIR environment variable to a directory not writable
by non-trusted users before running Festival.  You can do this e.g. by the
following shell command (assuming the $HOME/tmpdir directory exists):

  export TMPDIR=$HOME/tmp

I'd suggest putting this setting into your shell startup file as it is good
practice to set the variable anyway.
