Cantarell in Debian: ========================= Several parts of the upstream source tree (http://live.gnome.org/CantarellFonts) are left out because they are not currently ready to be used. We currently only package the .otf files. The OpenType files are not rebuilt from the source files (the current buildpath is overridden) but they are usable sources that you can modify with fontforge. Be aware that no Reserved Font Names have been declared for this font family and that branches of modified versions can create name collisions and rendering regressions. To follow best practises in packaging open fonts: - README has been renamed to FONTLOG.txt - COPYING has been renamed to OFL.txt A fontconfig configuration file is provided but is not installed by default, see /etc/fonts/conf.avail/ We are waiting for resolution of various upstream bugs around following community best practises in tree structure, versionning consistency and reproducable build system: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=644126 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=644187 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=635383 -- The pkg-fonts team (Debian Fonts Task Force) http://pkg-fonts.alioth.debian.org/
