HotelDruid for Debian ================== Administrator User and Login -------------------------------------- If during package configuration you didn't choose to restrict access only to localhost, then you should set the password for the administrator user before inserting any sensitive data. The password can be set from the "users management" page. Once this password has been set, a login will be required to access HotelDruid. Database Connection and Migration -------------------------------------- By default this HotelDruid package creates a Sqlite database on the first access (no connection data needed). Later you can migrate to MySQL or PostgreSQL using the HoteldDruid backup system: create a new backup file and then restore it, selecting "new data" for the database connection. If you insert the database data modifying the /etc/hoteldruid/database.php file, then HotelDruid will always use that data for connection (even on first access). Before migrating to MySQL or PostgreSQL you can insert the database username and password there, so that they will not be stored in other files under /var/lib/hoteldruid. Changing "database type", "database name" or "tables prefix" variables before migrating will give you errors as tables have not been created yet on the new database. Launcher Script ----------------- The hoteldruid-launcher script can be used to open HotelDruid main menu in a browser. The default browser is firefox/iceweasel (supports html5 drag & drop), but you can change it in the configuration file /etc/hoteldruid/launcher_config, where you can also modify the default HotelDruid URL (http://localhost/hoteldruid/). This script is also called by the HotelDruid desktop menu entries. -- Marco Maria Francesco De Santis Sat, 16 Jun 2012 12:52:56 +0200
