plasma-login-manager for Debian =============================== Configuration ------------- Debian ships no configuration file by default, we use upstream's default settings. Settings can be changed in System Settings under "Login Screen", which writes to `/etc/plasmalogin.conf`. Daemon settings (autologin, X11 server arguments, ...) can also be placed in `/etc/plasmalogin.conf` or in snippets below `/etc/plasmalogin.conf.d/`. Switching from another display manager -------------------------------------- Only one display manager can be active at a time. On installation, you are asked which display manager should be the default. To change the selection later, run dpkg-reconfigure plasma-login-manager (or the same for any other installed display manager) and reboot. Configuration and themes from SDDM are not migrated: Plasma Login uses a different configuration schema and has no theme engine, the login screen is provided by the Breeze Plasma components. -- Matthias Klumpp Tue, 22 Sep 2026 18:46:00 +0200
