plum for Debian ---------------------- Description: If you are readable in Japanese, see /usr/share/doc/plum documents. You, however, are not, to see this document help you run plum. plum works as personal proxy, stationing, logging, and bot program on IRC (Internet Relay Chat). It has many modules, so the user can use a lot of functions. It is also easy to customize its configurations. Quick Start Guide: 1. Install plum.deb. 2. Copy one of the .conf files in /usr/share/doc/plum/examples/ to your favorite directory. There are 4 conf files, but I recommend to copy plum-default.conf (it is default configuration file). If .conf is gzipped, you run gunzip and extract it. 3. Edit the copied .conf file. If you want 'how to writing', consult plum-example.en.conf file which is translated in English from original Japanese plum-example.conf file. 4. Rename .conf file to plum.conf. 5. Type 'plum' in the directory existing plum.conf. If plum.conf is correctly, the program starts. Contents: /usr/share/doc/plum/* Documents. But only available in Japanese. /usr/share/doc/plum/examples/*.conf .conf sample files. /usr/bin/plum Debian plum. It edited because of fitting FHS. /usr/share/plum/plum Original plum. If you want to edit modules or support files, copy this file and module/support directory in your favorite place. /usr/share/plum/module/* Module (plug-in) data. You can see each .plm in Web browser, because each .plm module file includes .html data for its explanation (but only available in Japanese). /usr/share/plum/support/* Support binaries. -- GOTO Masanori , Tue, 2 Nov 1999 13:12:23 +0900
