reniced for Debian ------------------ Because of #389121, reniced now has an init script. Even when it is called very late (it has a sequence number of 99), it will propably not act on all your processes. On the other hand, the init script will ensure (if you didn't turn it off) a reniced run when you upgrade the package. As reniced can only renice those processes already running, it should be called regularly to act on new or restarted processes as well. To accomplish this, you could add a file like this to /etc/cron.d/: SHELL=/bin/sh PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin # reniced 10 6 * * * root /usr/bin/reniced -- Christian Garbs , Sun, 26 Aug 2007 20:14:24 +0200
