v4l2loopback for Debian ----------------------- Please see ./README.md for a description of the v4l2loopback software. The Debian v4l2loopback source package provides a single package: v4l2loopback-source, which provides the source for the kernel modules The v4l2loopback-source package can be used in several ways, - Using the module-assistant(8) command provided by the "module-assistant" package. Somethng like: $ module-assistant auto-install v4l2loopback will build the v4l2loopback module and install it for your current kernel. See the man page of module-assistant(1) for more options. - Using the make-kpkg(1) command provided by the kernel-package Debian package. This will produce a corresponding v4l2loopback-modules package for the Debian kernel-image package that you are using. This is "the Debian way". See the "modules_image" section of the make-kpkg(1) man page. - Changing to the /usr/src/modules/v4l2loopback/ directory and building as the README.md file instructs using "make; make install". This will build and install a module specific to the system you are building on and is not under control of the packaging system. -- IOhannes m zmölnig Tue, 02 Jun 2015 20:27:41 +0200
