xfonts-terminus (4.48-3) unstable; urgency=medium Since version 1.44 of Pango, the programs using this layout engine (and in particular all programs using the Gtk library) are no longer able to use PCF fonts. Therefore, the users are advised to use the fonts in the package fonts-terminus-otb. In order to avoid redundancy, this package no longer contains a file 50-enable-terminus.conf. Such a file is provided in the package fonts-terminus-otb. Consequently, in the default configuration the fonts of this package remain unavailable to the programs using fontconfig. In order ensure smoother upgrade, this package now recommends fonts-terminus-otb. Since different rendering engines are used for PCF and OTB fonts, the font sizes are not compatible. You may need to reconfigure your programs to use different font size. Notice also that the OTB fonts support non-integer font sizes. -- Anton Zinoviev Mon, 25 May 2020 11:52:41 +0300
