dtc web hosting control panel for Debian ---------------------------------------- To be policy compliant, a package cannot modify another package config file. So configuring all the daemons within the installer is forbidden on Debian (even if some would have enjoy the postinst to do the job directly, this is the way it is under Debian, and there is nothing that can be done about it). The only way to have everything ready is to launch the install script as root manually after the installation of the package: # /usr/share/dtc/admin/install/install You can uninstall the same way: # /usr/share/dtc/admin/install/uninstall Encrypting old passwords, after upgrading from a previous version of DTC ------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you used a version of DTC older than 0.34.0, then stored passwords for both your root administrators (the one accessing /dtcadmin) and your virtual admins (the one accessing /dtc) were not encrypted. If you wish to encrypt them, then you should perform the following shell script command: mysql --defaults-file=/etc/mysql/debian.cnf -Ddtc \ --execute="UPDATE admin SET adm_pass=SHA1(adm_pass)" mysql --defaults-file=/etc/mysql/debian.cnf -Ddtc \ --execute="UPDATE tik_admins SET tikadm_pass=SHA1(tikadm_pass)" As a consequence, this will encrypt all passwords, including the one that you have entered during the installation of DTC, which may have already been encrypted. If that is the case and you can't access /dtcadmin anymore, then we suggest it is suggested to do: cd /usr/share/dtc/admin Then use ./dtcpassadm to update your /dtcadmin password. -- Thomas Goirand Mon, 04 Apr 2011 03:41:25 +0800
