Debian fonts-font-awesome and fonts-font-awesome-legacy packages

The fonts in the fonts-font-awesome-legacy package are Font Awesome
versions 4.7.0, 5.15.4 and 6.7.2, the final releases of the 4, 5 and 6
versions of Font Awesome.  The fonts in the fonts-font-awesome package
(version 7.x) are for Font Awesome version 7.x.

Version 4.7.0 includes various CSS and related files; higher versions
only include the fonts themselves but no other supporting files.  You
might find the node-fortawesome-fontawesome-free useful if you need
related JavaScript or CSS files for a newer version of the font.

The directory structure of /usr/share/fonts-font-awesome is as follows
(some of these are symbolic links, for example to files in
/usr/share/fonts):

icons-5.15.4.yml
icons-6.7.2.yml
icons.yml
  These are the YAML files listing the icons in the fonts.  icons.yml
  is the version 7.x file.

css/
less/
scss/
  The files in these directories all relate to version 4.7.0

  The symlink /usr/share/javascript/font-awesome/css/font-awesome.css
  also points to the 4.7.0 version.
