grub2-splashimages (1.1.0) unstable; urgency=medium

  This package now uses PNG format for background images instead of TGA.
  The images have higher resolution but maintain reasonable file sizes thanks
  to PNG compression.

  If you previously configured a background image in `/etc/default/grub`:
   - Update the filename extension from `.tga` to `.png` as `GRUB_BACKGROUND`

  If you manually copied background images to `/boot/grub/`:
   - No changes needed
