lcas for Debian --------------- The Debian packaging of LCAS is somewhat different than usual; as lcas.so is typically dlopen()'ed it is in the run-time package instead of the development package; in order to write plug-ins or clients for LCAS it is not required to link against lcas.so as the binding is done at run-time. This way plug-ins can be forward-compatible with new releases of LCAS. The interface package contains what's required to do this. It leaves the devel packages nearly empty, but it's there to conform to the common pattern. -- Dennis van Dok (Software Engineer) Sat, 12 Feb 2011 00:39:30 +0100
