ofono FCC unlocking
===================

If you are using a mobile device with integrated WWAN module, a manual
configuration step may be needed after installing or upgrading ofono,
otherwise the module might NOT be useable.

Starting with release 2.16-4, Debian's ofono comes with a helper script
that allows one to automize the (so called) FCC unlocking step required
before a WWAN module becomes actually usable.

You can enable auto-FCC-unlocking AT YOUR OWN RISK by creating symlinks
in /etc/ofono/fcc-unlock.d:

 sudo ln -sft /etc/ofono/fcc-unlock.d /usr/share/ofono/fcc-unlock.available.d/*

The helper script can be found at /usr/sbin/ofono-fcc-unlock. Some
configuration paramters are at /etc/default/ofono. The ofono-fcc-unlock
script is executed at system boot via the oneshot-systemd-service
ofono-fcc-unlock.service.
