pluto-lunar for Debian ---------------------- This package is a build-dependency for the Project Pluto's Find Orb tool. Because of its tininess and few expected updates, yet no effort was made to transform this into a shared library. The software has its root in the Windows world. This explains (in part) the missing man pages and the one or other divergence from behaviours expected from the UNIX world. It shall be considered not to offer the binaries of this package in /usr/bin at all to avoid the overhead to comply with Debian's standards for tools that have mostly the internal character of testing the library's function. The final destination of binaries, libraries and include files remains unclear across the pluto-* packages. For the time being, the include files shall all to go to /usr/include/pluto while the binaries go to /usr/lib/pluto/ and the .a files to /usr/lib . This is not ultimately nice and shall develop over something more consistent. -- Steffen Moeller Wed, 28 Feb 2018 09:58:52 +0100
