# Direct use of python3-radicale or radicale is discouraged

It is not recommended to grant web server access to shadow group,
as documented upstream e.g. for using the PAM plugin.

The recommended approach is to use the package radicale-uwsgi,
which separates file access from authentication and public exposure.
