Sopwith for Debian ------------------ I suggest you play sopwith by running 'sopwith -q'. The music really is terrible. Really truly terrible. Oh, and quit via Ctrl+C. Ctrl+C three times if you're in a real hurry. -- David B Harris , Tue, 4 Mar 2003 23:57:25 -0500 Ah, it's not that bad. You're looking for nostalgia, right? I remember playing this on a 19" TV wired up to a huge, 40-pound 286 Compaq "portable" with an amber monochrome monitor. Woo-hoo, Saturday night entertainment! It just wouldn't feel right without the audio. :) -- Kenneth J. Pronovici Fri, 02 Sep 2022 00:06:07 +0000 System-Wide High Scores ----------------------- Sopwith contains functionality to track system-wide high scores shared across multiple users. This is managed using the file /var/games/sopwith/hiscores.txt. On Debian systems, this file is owned root:games and has permissions 0664. If you want to be able to take advantage of system-wide high scores, add your user to the games group. Otherwise, sopwith will fall back on default behavior and track high scores only for your user.
