tftpd-hpa (7.2-1) unstable; urgency=medium * Support for tcpwrappers was dropped upstream. Upstream says: tftp-hpa no longer supports using tcpwrappers for client permit/denial. If this is desired, use kernel-level firewalling on the TFTP listen port. As TFTP only uses the listen port for the request packet, the performance cost is neglible, and far less than having tftpd search the tcpwrapper configuration. * Service management and default root directory changed: The tftpd-hpa service is now a socket-activated systemd socket. Please use the systemd facilities to configure the listening address. The default directory is once again /var/lib/tftpboot to satisfy Debian policy requirements. You can override this using a systemd drop-in file (try `systemctl edit tftpd-hpa.service`), like this: [Service] ReadWritePaths=/srv/tftp Environment=TFTPD_HOME=/srv/tftp -- Chris Hofstaedtler Sun, 27 Sep 2026 14:36:46 +0200
