uv, an extremely fast Python package installer and resolver and replacement for
pip, is required for this package to function. Unfortunately, uv is not
currently available in Debian; this is currently a work-in-progress:

You can use this package by installing uv either through the official uv
installer, or for example by leveraging pipx:
  $ apt install pipx
  $ pipx install uv
  $ pipx ensurepath
