yarf for Debian --------------- RapidOCR is not available in Debian yet because it runs pretrained PaddleOCR models, which first need to be reviewed against Debian's policy for machine learning models to decide whether they can go into main. This package uses Tesseract as the OCR engine. Upstream uses RapidOCR by default, so recognition results can differ between the two. * "Set Ocr Method rapidocr" fails with an ImportError. * ${OCR_SIMILARITY_THRESHOLD}, ${OCR_CONFIDENCE_THRESHOLD} and the similarity/confidence arguments of "Find Text" and "Match Text" only apply to RapidOCR. * OCR needs the tesseract-ocr package, which is only recommended. Once rapidocr is packaged in Debian, it will be used again by default. The cursor detection model (yolo26_mouse_detector.onnx) is not included either. It is a trained YOLO model whose training data and training scripts are not published upstream, so it does not meet Debian's policy for machine learning models. * "Find Cursor Position" fails with a FileNotFoundError. -- Nadzeya Hutsko Tue, 13 Oct 2026 10:53:44 +0200
